Developed by Filament2 and exclusive to Prusa printers, it features a precision mixing nozzle designed for 2-part liquid materials such as real, heat-resistant silicone. This is the versatile add-on for every kind of project, allowing you to print demanding, flexible, and durable parts that were previously impossible on a desktop machine.

The robust Original Prusa XL, designed from the very beginning as a platform for hardware upgrades, ensures maximum firmness and stability. This translates directly into outstanding print quality, even with these new liquid materials. With intuitive software and a simple tool-changing process, users can install the new toolhead and get started on their first print in no time. Simply slice your model in Prusa Slicer and print. No need for complex, specialized software.

Create and combine with new materials

This is much more than just a new extruder; it's a completely new technology for the Prusa XL. It unlocks the ability to print with "liquid filaments" - countless materials that cannot be made into a traditional plastic filament. The first material is real, heat-resistant silicone. This is just the beginning, with polyurethanes, industrial epoxies, and other paste materials on the horizon.

The true power of this technology is unleashed by the Prusa XL's tool-changing capability. For the first time ever, you can combine traditional FDM printing with real silicone printing, all at the same time, in a single part. Or, load up your XL with five of these new toolheads and print a single object with different two-part silicones, each with a completely different shore hardness. This is something that was never remotely possible on a desktop machine before.
